This is a very thought provoking article on cow’s milk vs. human
breast milk. James McWilliams ponders on the absurdity of humans not
questioning the fact that cow’s milk is far from ideal for humans,
and that it entails much exploitation of cows and intense marketing
by the milk industry. He says, “Given that drinking the milk of
one’s own species provides the most natural source of nutrition
known to mammalian life, it’s strange–or perhaps just a testament to
the marketing geniuses in the milk industry–that everyday consumers
of conventional bovine milk rarely pause to ponder the implications
of supping on the stolen secretions of another species.”

Milk of human kindness denied to dairy cows
Cow’s
milk is for calves. Milk is very species-specific and is intended to
be a food source during infancy. Humans have strayed away from the
natural world and drink milk from other species -- mainly cow’s --
and do so throughout all stages of life. This causes much suffering
to cows and their babies, and has serious repercussions on human
health.
It’s time to listen to our inner wisdom, God’s will,
and stop the exploitation of God’s animals. Showing compassion to
them helps us make mindful choices.
