British artist
Mishka Henner’s work about factory farms and feedlots is currently
on display at the McCord Museum in Montreal. Even though we live in
a time where ag-gag laws make it illegal to take pictures or footage
of factory farms or slaughterhouses in 5 states in the United
States, Henner's art is based on publicly available satellite
photographs of industrial feedlots in Texas. Henner’s work helps
expose the crude reality of where most of our food comes from and
the huge impact this has on our health, animals and the environment.

Modern animal agriculture is being exposed from every
angle and more people are learning about the devastating effects it
has on all of God’s Creation. If more Christians aligned their faith
(Jesus’ teachings of compassion, mercy and love) with their food
choices, we would be an incredibly strong force bringing healing and
reconciliation to Earth.
