The Future of Cultured Meat
This excerpt, which originally appeared in “Republic of Outsiders: The Power of Amateurs, Dreamers, and Rebels”, exposes the growth and importance of the meat-cultured technology seeking to end the animal-agriculture industry and therefore the most massive cruelty to animals, while also providing healthier meat products. Alongside, researchers such as Patrick Brown, a vegan professor at Stanford University, seek to develop better plant-based "meats" in order to reduce our footprint on the planet.

Ultimately, ending animal-based agriculture is a survival imperative and a spiritual imperative. Cruelty, disease, pollution, devastation and much suffering have their roots at the exploitation of God’s animals. Finding a way to a harmonious and joyous existence alongside all other creatures involves not eating them.
