Freshwater Ecosystems Collapsing
Fresh water ecosystems are among the most threatened in the world. The aquatic fauna in American rivers and lakes is being depleted, according to a study to be published in September by the United States Geological Service. “From 1900-2010, freshwater fish species in North America went extinct at a rate 877 times faster than the rate found in the fossil record, while estimates indicate the rate may double between now and 2050.”

Seemingly, we have forgotten that being stewards of God’s Creation is a sacred task, a responsibility and also a privilege. I think that Earth is in dire need of mindful individuals, who are willing to align their innermost values, beliefs and faith with their choices.
