Get Calcium from Plant-Based Foods!

 A new study published this week in the online edition of the British journal “Heart” indicated that getting calcium from pills could raise the risk of heart disease. Seemingly, the best and safer sources of calcium are plant-based, such as tofu, collard greens and kale.

It should be of no surprise that God’s ideal diet for us, a plant-based diet from whole foods, is the most beneficial for us. Although it might seem very convenient to pop a pill instead of planning a balanced diet, the reality is that we might be doing more harm than good. Being good stewards of our bodies requires us to invest time and care in staying healthy and celebrating the gift of life!
