On Saturday, June 2, 2012, a large demonstration took place in
Paris, France calling for the closure of slaughterhouses. This
demonstration took place at symbolic location of the old
slaughterhouses of Vaugirard in the 15th Arrondissment, where part
of Georges Franju’s movie (Animal’s Blood) was shot in 1949.
Franju’s words after witnessing the slaughter of animals for food
were, “The first time I went there, I came back home, cried for two
days, hid away all the knives, I just wanted to die.” Please visit

Millions of people around the world realize that killing
animals for food is not only unnecessary but horrifying. They are
taking a stand for all of God’s animals that are brutalized and
killed for the sake of profit and taste, and they want to see this
come to an end. The more people stand up for compassion, peace and
love, the kinder and more harmonious the world will be.
