The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is expected to release
soon the limits for safe exposure to dioxins, most commonly known as the
military herbicide Agent Orange used in Vietnam. According to the Food
and Drug Administration most dioxin exposure occurs through the diet,
with over 95% coming through dietary intake of animal fats followed by
eggs, and then cheese. Dr. Greger explains the health dangers of dioxin
and also the implications this has on agribusiness.

Maybe the extent of contamination of animal products with toxins such
as dioxin will make people think twice before consuming them and feeding
them to their family members, especially children. Healthful eating
involves making mindful decisions about what diet we should follow as
stewards of our bodies.
