Good News! OLCSB Reverses Decision on Veal Crates
Many of you recall the disappointing news in March that the Ohio
Livestock Care Standards Board (OLCSB) voted to remove the provision
requiring that calves have enough room to move, proposing to allow
their confinement in tiny crates for the first 10 weeks of their
lives and violating the agreement. However, thanks to the tireless
work of Farm Sanctuary and other animal advocates, on April 5 the
OLCSB voted unanimously to reverse their decision, and to phase out
the use of veal crates in Ohio.

It is great news that in this case profit didn't trump ethics.
The simple act of phasing out veal crates in Ohio will alleviate the
suffering of calves exploited by the dairy and meat industries.
Let’s all be encouraged to continue exposing the victimization of
God’s animals in order to bring healing and reconciliation in God’s
Creation!.
