Sea Shepherd Conservation Society ships have been actively trying to stop Japanese ships from hunting whales for years and this year it seems that their persistence has paid off -- at least for the moment. Japanese officials have announced the temporary suspension of its annual Antarctic whaling after repeated harassment by the conservationist group.
