It seems that as far as eating is concerned, most people live in a
blissful ignorance. Just in the US, 10 billion land animals are
slaughtered every year for food production. The great majority of these
animals are raised in factory farms, knowing suffering everyday of their
lives. On the other hand, Americans spend incredible amounts of money
and time on their pets. Why the disconnection? What makes a farmed
animal less sentient than a dog or a cat?

people supporting the animal agriculture industry. As Christians, we
