The Animal Rights Movement
Adam Cohen, lawyer, former TIME writer and former member of the New
York Times editorial board, writes about the development of the Animal
Rights Movements which, not too far ago, was considered an oxymoron.
Cohen highlights the many successes that this movement has gained in
defense of animals and compares how far different countries have
advanced in this matter. For example, Europe is still ahead of the US in
that legally many species are better protected. Cohen believes that
"requiring animals, including animals that produce or become food, to be
treated decently while they are alive ennobles not only the animals but
us as well."

Can Animal Rights Go Too Far?
The animal advocacy movement is essential if humanity wants to be
part of helping in the reconciliation of God's Creation. Unless we stop
exploiting and causing suffering to God's animals we are failing
miserably at our sacred task of being good stewards of God's Creation.
