Hundreds of Bluefin Tuna Released
The bluefin tuna, one of the most valuable but endangered fish in
the Mediterranean, have been driven almost to extinction by
industrial fishing to the point that are now unlikely to survive
more than a few more years. In an attempt to save hundreds of these
fish and to raise awareness on this issue, Sea Shepherd activists
release 800 hundred of threatened bluefin tuna which they strongly
suspect were illegally caught off the Libyan coast.

Industrial fishing has decimated aquatic fauna to the point where
we might lose for ever innumerable species in the next few years.
Profit and taste has driven this industry in a blind race,
forgetting or choosing to ignore, the suffering and devastation left
behind. As stewards of God's Creation we need to make it clear that
we do not agree with the exploitation of God's animals and the
consequences this brings onto the environment by refusing to support
these industries.
