UN’s Warning: Stop Industrial Fishing
The United Nations (UN) has issued a warning saying that
commercial fishing could be destroyed within 50 years. "It is not a
science fiction scenario. It is within the lifetime of a child born
today," said Achim Steiner, head of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP).
In fact, according to his colleague, Dr Pavan Sukhdev, if current
fishing practices continue the way they are today, maybe in 30 or 40
years down the line the planet might be out of fish. The UN's
recommendation calls for up to 22 million jobs involved with fishing
and up to 13 million boats removed from service.

We are devastating God's Creation in spite of the many warnings
issued by experts and the planet itself. If we call ourselves good
stewards of God's Creation, then there is no room for us in
supporting industries that cause environmental destruction, animal
suffering and that promote human sickness.
