A Christmas Song

Larry, one of our sustaining members was kind to share with us a Christmas song he wrote. Enjoy the beautiful lyrics!

Santa's Going Vegan This Christmas
Last summer Rudolph really got to thinking
Animals need a gift from Santa, too
It popped into his mind a subscription to Veggie Times
To give that big, old Jolly Elf a little clue

(Chorus) Santa's going vegan this Christmas
He traded his fur clothes and leather boots
He's hoping all the kids leave soymilk instead
You might not know him in his bright red leisure suit.

The animals all are dancing round the North Pole
Rudolph's nose is glowing a brighter red
Santa didn't know Rudolph wasn't gonna show
He'd planned civil disobedience for the sled

(Repeat Chorus)

Santa won't be bringing guns this Christmas
He's had a change of heart to say the least
He's bringing Polaroids so any shots won't leave a void
It's a merry, merry Christmas for the beasts

(Repeat Chorus)

Santa's eating different this Christmas
He's packing pita pockets for his lunch
And just in case the snowing makes for real slow going
He's brought Phony Baloney he can munch

(Repeat Chorus)

Mrs. Claus has learned new ways of cooking
No turkey, chicken, duck, or even ham
Since Santa took a look in the Peaceful Palette book
A tofu turkey is roasting in the pan

(Repeat Chorus).
