Good News for Farmed Animals in Maine
Maine Governor John Baldacci signed legislation to become effective on January 1, 2011 that will prohibit gestation crates and veal crates. Thus, Main becomes the sixth U.S. State to ban the extreme confinement of farmed animals. The others are California, Colorado, Florida, Arizona and Oregon.

This is yet one more victory for God’s Creation! As more people realize the unimaginable suffering that God’s animals endure in hands of humanity for the sake of profit and taste, more will hopefully choose to transition to a healthy and compassionate plant-based diet.
