New Farmed Animal Bill Introduced in Illinois

The Illinois General Assembly Senate Assistant Majority Leader Sen. James A. DeLeo introduced a bill that would hopefully amend the state's Humane Care for Animals Act. This bill would prohibit a person from tethering or confining any covered animal, on a farm, for all or the majority of any day, in a manner that prevents the animal from lying down, standing up and fully extending his or her limbs or turning around freely, with exceptions such as research. Violators would be guilty of a Class C misdemeanor.

It is imperative that laws be enacted to ensure God's farmed animals enjoy, at the very least, the most basic needs any being deserves. By showing love and compassion to God's animals we are being good stewards of them; and therefore we are showing obedience to God.
