Christian Vegetarian Association Presents:
Take Heart!

Even Hunters Agree

People in South Dakota, who are used to hunting and fishing, are having a hard time understanding the cruelty towards pigs discovered in a factory farm in Iowa that supplies Hormel and other meat companies thanks to an undercover video shot by PETA (http://getactive.peta.org/campaign/iowa_pigfarm_abuse2).

Workers poked pigs in the eyes with clothespins and fingers, beat pregnant pigs, piglets deemed too small to be profitable were slammed head first onto the concrete floor in an attempt to kill them, although some lingered alive for more than 12 minutes after the impact, and pregnant pigs were denied of water for several days, among other cruelties. One employee is shown yelling, “I hate them. These (expletives) deserve to be hurt. Hurt, I say. Hurt! Hurt! Hurt! Hurt! … Take out your frustrations on them.”

The extent of exploitation of God's animals by humanity has reached such intensity that is hard to imagine it can get any worse. Humanity is failing miserable at being good stewards of God's animals, which only reflects our hardness of hearts and willful disobedience to our Creator. Transitioning to a plant-based diet enables us to apply Jesus' teachings of compassion, mercy and peace.
