Cod Fall Linked to Toxic Tide
According to scientists
the fall in cod stocks in the Baltic Sea in recent decades increased
numbers of algal blooms, known as "toxic tides", which can be poisonous
to people, fish and other wildlife, and may be on the increase
worldwide.

leading to alarming low rates of fish stocks, but also to devastating
consequences for people and other wildlife. Taking care of God's
Creation is our sacred responsibility and privilege; and unless humanity
stops supporting the fishing industry, we are failing in our role of
good stewards of God's Creation.
