Iceland Resumes Whaling
The temporary halt to whaling has reached an end in Iceland and
the government said it would allow 40 minke whales to be hunted,
which has angered conservationists and animal advocates. "We hope
that we will finish the 40-whale quota in the beginning of July if
the market responds well to the meat, as we believe it will," said
Gunnar Bergmann Jonsson, head of a minke whaling association.

It is sad to see whales, God's animals, chased and hunted in a
barbaric way for the sole purpose of selling their meat. Supporting
this industry only perpetrates the practice of whaling, which
certainly does not show compassion and mercy to these animal.
