Nothing fishy about personality traits in animals, study finds
We tend to look at the animals we eat as mere objects or commodities;
otherwise, if we acknowledge their sentience, instincts, needs and
individual traits, we'd probably find it much harder to exploit them.
Many compassionate individuals have given up eating beef, pork and
poultry, but continue eating fish, although these animals suffer as
well. When we extend our circle of compassion to all of God's creatures
we are actively participating in the reconciliation of God's Creation
here on Earth.
