Consumers should be aware that the
organic dairy industry is not necessarily clear and upfront
regarding their treatment of cows and the production of milk. While
organic milk might be produced in less abusive ways, dairy cows
still suffer the same fate as well are their calves. Switching to
non-dairy products alleviates animal suffering and reflects Christ’s
teachings of compassion and mercy.
