Dalai Lama’s Plight for Animals
The spiritual head of Tibetan
Buddhists, the Dalai Lama, spoke to a sold-out crowd of 5,000 at the
zoo of the late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin in Australia earlier
this month. He voiced his concern for animals in laboratories and
those raised for food making a case for eating a plant-based diet.
The Dalai Lama urged parents to show as much compassion as possible
to their children, and suggested that children be taught
“warmheartedness” as part of the school curriculum.

should encourage one another as we live out Christ’s teachings to
the best of our abilities.
