How to transition to a plant-base diet

Chris Baskind, publisher of www.LighterFootstep.com, shares the many benefits of plant-based diet, emphasizing the environmental ones. Mr. Baskind refers to a meat-based diet as "... humankind's least efficient way to feed itself," given the loss of calories, fiber and protein in converting grains to meat; and the amount of natural resources it consumes (water, land and fossil fuels). He suggests starting with one day a week and trying veggie restaurants, among other tips.
