No More Foie Gras at Giant Eagle
Giant Eagle, a grocery store chain with more than 200 stores in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, and Ohio announced formally to PETA that they have stopped selling foie gras.
It seems that the 250,000 e-mails and countless phone calls from concerned shoppers were so effective that Giant decided to support customers and take a stand against the force-feeding of ducks and geese to produce foie gras. Giant Eagle has followed Whole Foods steps on this issue.
