Iceland Resumes Whale Exports
Unfortunately, Iceland resumed whale
exports after a 15 year gap in spite of the global moratorium on hunts
imposed two decades ago by the International Whaling Commission.
Iceland's whaling commissioner Stefan Asmundsson said, "We have created
a joint trade area between Iceland and the Faroe Islands," … "There is
free trade within that area and whale products are simply one item
therein."

“Simply one item therein” exemplifies the view of animals that
industries such as the above have. Items do not feel, do not fear death,
do not suffer… Whales are God’s creations; sentient beings with
God-given rights and instincts.
