Man charged with cruelty to horses
Psalm 145:8 reminds us of the importance of mercy and love; however, it is the lack of mercy and love that characterizes the treatment of animals raised for food.
These creatures undergo unimaginable suffering through their lives and at the end of their lives. The reports indicating animal cruelty involved in factory farms and slaughter houses unfortunately abound.
The following news refers to Bryan Morgan, a man who transported 19 horses from Mississippi to a Texas slaughter plant. Morgan has been charged with 5 counts of cruelty after an eye-witness led investigators to horses that had been brutally beaten and had marks and abrasions across their faces.
