John 15:10
- Today’s devotional:John 15:10 (Jesus said) "If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love."
As many of us have heard it say: Love is not just a feeling, but it is action. Christians are called to show our love for God by being obedient to Jesus’ teachings. For us, Christian Vegetarians, that includes our diet. We are being obedient to God in that we are taking care of our bodies, alleviating animal suffering, helping maintain our environment as healthy as possible and, what I consider very important, witnessing to our neighbors through our lifestyle of non-violence, love, respect, compassion and mercy for God’s creation.
Let’s thank God for providing us with Jesus’ example and ministry. We should pray that our love for His creation can bring other people to Him. We should pray for strength in remaining obedient (although imperfectly) and for effectiveness in witnessing.
