1. Guided by the Faith of Christ, 2nd Edition Is Off the Press
I’ve been revising and updating the Guided by the Faith of Christ: Seeking to Stop Violence and Scapegoating for over a year and a half. The new edition reflects further reading and thinking since the original publication in 2009. I’ve also aimed to make the book shorter and more readable. The first edition was well-received, and I think people will find that the newer edition more clearly explains the roots of human violence and scapegoating and the role Christianity can play to transcend this human scourge. The book explains how we can only hope to have peaceful, harmonious communities if nonhumans as well as humans are treated with compassion and respect.

Chip and I handed out 2,460 booklets at WJ Springfield today mostly to receptive kids and their parents. The crowd was smaller than it has been here the past few years.
