Let’s Focus on Our Message of Compassion and Ethical Living

Many health organizations, including the World Health Organization, the American Institute for Cancer Research, and the World Cancer Research Fund have voiced strongly their findings that processed meats and red meat increase cancer rates.

In turn many people choose to reduce or eliminate their red meat consumption but replace it with chicken or fish, which is bad news for human health (chicken and fish are loaded with cholesterol and saturated fat) and especially for animals since many more need to be exploited and killed.

As Ginny Messina, RD  explains in this insightful article, our message should be one of ethics and compassion. This way we help people realize that animals are sentient beings, who are not ours to exploit, abuse or kill.
