The Problem with Saturated Fat

The typical American diet is laden with animal products, which contain saturated fat. And what’s worse, the media glorifies and promotes this way of eating. However, little by little scientists are exposing the truth: saturated fat is making people sick. Saturated fat can double the risk of Alzheimer’s disease, it increases cholesterol levels and heart disease risk, its high intake means high type 2 diabetes risk,  and it is associated with multiple cancers.

In Eden, all creatures lived peacefully, and God told both humans and animals to consume only plant foods (Gen. 1:29–31). By deviating from this path, we’ve allowed ourselves to numb our hearts and to exploit God’s animals for taste and profit, and to spread sickness. Going back to God’s ideal plan to eat a plant-based diet definitely helps bring healing and peace.
