The happy ending story depicted in this short video didn't have a happy
beginning. Stockyard auctions across the U.S. are some of the cruelest
places for farmed animals where no compassion exists. Here, labeled with
numbers and pushed and prodded into chaotic auction rings for bidding,
terrified and confused farm animals of all ages and conditions – from tiny
babies to aging adults – are all typically treated in the same callous
manner until the sale is over and they go on to meet some equally miserable
end. Watch how 3 tiny baby calves, who were not deemed worth even $1, are
rescued by Farm Sanctuary National Shelter Director Susie Coston and find a
forever loving home.
