Last April, the first World Buddhist Forum took place in China, where
practitioners where urged and encouraged to refrain from abusing animals or
spoiling the environment. Buddhist monks and researchers are trying to find
cures to "greed, hatred and ignorance."
Christians, as followers of Jesus Christ, know that we are just stewards,
not owners, of God’s creation and that we have a sacred responsibility to
take care of it. Jesus already set the example by showing us the path of
mercy, compassion, love, and non-violence.
