This news illustrates the callousness of Kreider Farms, egg
producing company in Pennsylvania, after a complaint was filed with the
Better Business Bureau by Hugs for Puppies. The complaint charged the
description of false advertising since Kreider Farms’ website advertised
that their chickens were “happy and well-treated.” Now it reads “contented
and well-treated.” What is even more surprising is that Kreider Farms
spokesperson Tom Beachler minimized the claims and said, "I see (the
chickens) all the time and hear them clucking and singing,"… "I think
they're happy." However, an undercover investigation of their facilities by
Hugs for Puppies (animal rights group) produced a video that shows eggs and
birds covered in feces, birds trapped in cage wires, dead birds rotting in
cages with live birds, and birds overcrowded in small wire cages.
To minimize the suffering of the victims of exploitation is a sign of
insensitivity and disregard for the God-given rights these creatures posses.
