1. Activist Feedback
Anne reports on the CVA’s outreach at The Ottawa Eco-Stewardship Fair last Saturday, April 24th 2010:
From 10am – 5pm, the CVA rented a booth at The Eco-Stewardship Fair in Ottawa. Last year they had over 5,000 visitors attending this event and it appeared to me that this year the numbers were probably the same.
We were given a corner lot and we had good visibility from every direction. On the table we had the CVA “Honoring God’s Creation” booklets, a wide variety of animal rights booklets and information, and a small portable DVD player showing “The Emotional World of Farm Animals,” an uplifting compassionate movie suitable for all. The video is now on You Tube.
We handed out well over 400 animal rights booklets on differing themes, all the 18 vegan starter kits I had, and about 75 Honoring Gods Creation booklets. The booklet that made people turn back to talk to me the most seemed to be “Even if You Like Meat’ produced by Vegan Outreach.
5 People signed up for the CVA newsletter and 38 others asked me to send them more information on vegan recipes, which I have done. I included two free online vegan cook books:

When one person from one of these other tables realized I was on my own, she brought me over some vegan food, which I thought extremely kind of her, and it was delicious
