New Mexico Dairy Farm Shuts Down

Thanks to an undercover investigation by Mercy for Animals, a dairy farm in New Mexico has shut down. This LA Times article exposes this farm recounting what the undercover video showed: “… workers using chains and metal wires to whip animals on their faces and bodies, using tractors to drag milk cows too weak to walk on their own, and electrically shocking the genitals of many animals to get them to move. Cows were also kicked, punched and stabbed with screwdrivers…

It is important to note that this type of abuse is common in factory farms, where undercover investigators have revealed a world of violence and abuse. The animal agriculture industry has already pushed for laws that make it increasingly more difficult to expose animal cruelty.

Therefore, since there’s no oversight of factory farms the most reliable way to end this abuse is not supporting the animal agriculture industry.
