According to the Public Health Agency of Canada the prevalence of
ciprofloxacin-resistant Campylobacter in retail chicken is
increasing. This concerns scientists because ciprofloxacin is
critically important for the treatment of Campylobacter infections
in humans.

It’s just not possible to raise God’s chickens by the billions
without antibiotics and intense confinement. Of course, the
conditions in factory farms are horrendous for chickens, and lead to
public health dangers such as the emergence of new bacterial and
viral strains as well as antibiotic-resistant bacteria. There is no
way to exploit God’s animals without causing much harm to humans as
well.
