Animal Agriculture’s Toll on Earth
Gareth Hughes, New Zealand's member of Parliament for the Green
Party, explains his main reason for adopting a plant-base diet: to
restore the health of the environment. Hughes is aware of the huge
environmental toll that the animal agriculture industry is taking on the
Earth. From depleting fishing stocks, wasting grains and contributing to
world hunger, to global warming, too many are the reasons to stop eating
animal products. Hughes believes that one's choice of diet is an ethical
and political choice as well.

products could be ultimately the cause of humanity's end as we know it.
God's Earth is being exploited indiscriminately without any concern of
its creatures or resources. Unless we take a stand and become good
stewards of God's Creation, generations to come are going to pay a high
price for our greed and irresponsibility.
