Argentines’ View of Vegetarianism Might be Changing

Argentines are the world's biggest beef-eaters, consuming a record 70 kg (154 pounds) of beef per capita last year. However, due to increasing awareness of the negative effects of a meat-based diet vegetarianism is catching momentum. Many new vegetarian restaurants have opened and are becoming increasingly trendy. Moreover, tasty and eye-catching veggie alternatives to the typical argentine dishes are now available in supermarkets.
