A spicy whole raw
vegetable drink that is prepared in a high powered blender.
1 Garlic clove
1 Celery stock (large)
2 Carrots (medium)
1 Broccoli stem (we use the florets in our salad)
2 Parsley sprigs
1 Kale leaf
1/4 tsp. Stevia Extract (for sweetness)
1 tsp. Curry Powder
1/2 cup Ice cubes
1 cup Water
This is a "raid the refrigerator" recipe. A chunk of Yellow or
Green Squash, or the core of a Cabbage or Lettuce, or Romaine
Lettuce, or Cauliflower, or spinach goes real nice. Beets and Beet
Greens are good, too. Have fun - stay healthy.
Put all the ingredients, except the water, in the blender with
the softer vegetables on the bottom and the ice cubes on the top.
Process at high speed until smooth (about 1 minute). Reduce the
speed and add the water, and serve. Because all the pulp is in the
veggie cocktail, it has a tendency to separate, and thus, it should
be served immediately after preparing.
