Attempts to grow meat in a lab
Dutch researchers are trying to
grow pork meat in a laboratory with the vision of helping feed
people and avoid having to raise and slaughter animals for their
flesh, which would help the environment as well. Although the
experiment is in its developing phase and many obstacles have yet to
be overcome, scientists believe that once in the market, lab-grown
meat will have enough demand.

Growing meat in laboratories will
spare animals the suffering and pain to which they are subjected on
a daily basis. It would also help reduce waste and the use of
natural resources. In the meantime, the transition to a plant-based
diet would be an effective route to alleviate animal suffering, help
restore the environment, and take care of our bodies.
